Dwarves of The Hobbit: Dwalin, Balin, Kili, Fili, Dori, Nori, Ori, Oin, Gloin, Bifur, Bofur, Bombur, and Thorin.

The publicity shots of Richard Armitage as Thorin are giving me the same feelings of disconcertion and cognitive dissonance that I got from seeing James McAvoy as Mr Tumnus in The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardobe. (Which is not to say that I don’t approve. I do. It’s just that I didn’t quite expect the characters in my childhood books would look like that.)
Related: the latest Hobbit video blog is possibly the most delightful and hilarious one yet. It also features the reappearance of several old friends from Lord of the Rings that had me bouncing with glee.
